Free Locky Dock charging stations are coming to some of New Zealand’s busiest Great Rides helping riders go further, stop more often and explore with confidence.
The rollout focuses on high impact trail towns, attractions and accommodation.
This public private partnership is going to deliver world class infrastructure supporting tourism, trail managers while growing regional economies.

Remutaka and Hawkes Bay lead the way
Two trails get their first secure docking stations this year. Riders can charge freely and park with confidence from day one.

The network grows across the country
Hauraki, Te Awa, Rotorua, Nelson Tasman, Kinloch, and Little River join the expansion. Strategic placement focuses on high-impact trail towns and key attractions.

Rotorua and Te Awa follow suit
Central North Island trails get infrastructure built for the riders who use them. Charging stops become gathering points for communities.

South Island trails complete the initial phase
Nelson Tasman, Kinloch, and Little River round out the rollout. This public-private partnership delivers world-class infrastructure supporting tourism and regional growth.

More regions follow as demand increases
The network continues to expand based on rider feedback and trail manager input. Growth follows the trails that need it most.

Locky Docks attract and support more e-bike users, extending trail use and dwell time, and drive additional foot traffic to local businesses.

Riders should bring their charger. Everything else is provided at the Dock.
